It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's... Mortgage Elimination Man!

Yes, it's Mortgatge Elimination Man! Strange visitor from a third world shithole who came to Sacramento with powers and abilities of loosing houses far greater than those of mortal men! Mortgage Elimination Man, who can wreck the value of anything he touches, bend (and sometimes break) contracts with his bare hands, and who, disguised as Casey Serin, mild-mannered occasional valet-parker for a semi-great Sacramento restaurant, fights a never-ending battle for scams, injustice and turning America into third-world nation.

And now, another exciting episode in the Adventures of Mortgage Elimination Man!

YES. He's Baaaaaack!

And by the look of things, he's now restyled himself as "Mortgage Elimination Man," more than likely hoping to sell some of the otherwise freely-available "advice" about Mortgage Elimination, a scam that apparently begins from the presumption that money is not real, therefore the mortgage never really existed, therefore, it can just be eliminated. We're not sure what the proponents of this system propose to do about returning the house to the original owner from whom it was purchased with money that isn't real, but that's the kind of question that only details guys like us would ever be concerned about. (In fact of the matter, we wouldn't be concerned because we'd never let ourselves get into that situation in the first place.)

According to posts forwarded to us primarily from his Facebook Wall (to which we have no access), he seems to be:

  1. Involved with Aaron Krowne, the current owner of the old IAFF site, and a true nutcase.
  2. Still interested in pursuing the Island idea, and apparently has one supporter who has similar goals. Funding pending.
  3. "Couch surfing" around Sacraemento, which we take to mean that he's not welcome at home, or at least not on terms that are acceptable to him.

There is also some evidence that he is planning to provide advice based on a "produce the note" strategy that has worked at times. If that's his plan, we have some bad news for him: First, most lenders have gotten much better about getting their ducks in a row, especially given the long current lead-times to foreclosure. Second many courts are denying that defense when it's clear that the problem is only a technical one, not a real question of note ownership. Third, and most important, we're moving to a new phase of the foreclosure crisis. When Casey lost his houses, the problem was in subprime. These were mostly crap loans given to crap buyers for crap houses and often the paperwork was crap. Today's foreclosures are much more focused on the prime interest-only or option-ARM loans that were typically better done, typically during a less frentic period in the market and were less likely to have been securitized, sold or reassigned, meaning the paperwork is in better shape. Finally, the word on this strategy is out there. Nobody needs to pay a lazy bum like Casey to "help" them with it.

But really, Casey's strategy is always the same, to the point where it's kind of boring:

  1. Make fool of self on blog
  2. ???????
  3. Riches and fame

Casey just hasn't figured out the second step yet.

We note that "mortgageeliminationman.com" has recently been registered.
[Note: within a few hours of our observation the site came live. Casey is still an idiot.]

We also note that morgtageeliminationman.blogspot.com and mortgageelimnationman.blogspot.com have been taken, the latter and maybe both apparently by Haterz™. The Haterz™ blogs, of course, are sure to be more entertaining than the real thing.

And that's the breaking news from FalseCasey HQ, where things are otherwise quiet on a Friday night.

I think someone needs to put Casey's nose to good use. He is the single best scam detector I've ever seen. I mean, if he just picked things randomly, he'd occasionally stumble on something that was legit, or a half-way decent idea. But every single thing that Casey whole-heartedly leaps behind is utter garbage. ALWAYS.

This could be exploited.

Sure, there's actual true things that Casey will agree with or acknowledge. But the only thing that really gets him salivating is a sure-fire fail. Could he be used for stock picks? Horse racing?

So far his talent seems pretty useless, since most three-year-olds could figure out that the things he drools over will fail, but does his power work even for things that look legit? Could Enron have been discovered sooner, if early warning teams had noticed Casey gobbling up stock? If Casey can't wait to buy a house on the street, that's the one that's going to be hit by a meteor next week?

The boy could have the power to save lives!

So he's still avoiding genuine work -- even 1099 contractor stuff -- so he doesn't get any wages garnished. Lovely.

Can't understand what his fascination with real estate is. It was hot from 2003 to 2008. It's done, finished. It won't be "in" for another 20 years, if ever.

I wonder how the bankruptcy stuff is proceeding for his parents.

Ok so here is the timeline:

Casey attends TJ's scaminar in Portland for $99:

Back from a Monumental weeknd in Portland (10hrs each way) listnin to The Lost Symbol to stay awake. Happy Valentine's to all my Luv'd ONes!

\

Casey then files the fake reconveyance on March 1.

Anonymous said...

I'm curious about the reconveyance. They're usually(always?) filed when a lien is released on a property, so why would Casey's parents get one? IIRC the Chapter 13 didn't modify the mortgage, and there weren't any outstanding liens on the property.

Or is Casey's entire scheme based on trying to sneak a recon through?

Anonymous said...

A reconveyance is a note saying that the property is released from a lien. Casey filed a reconveyance for his parents, based on the idea that somehow the original lien was fraudulent and that his parents therefore have the right to cancel it (see you in court).

The hardcore version of this scam is to then take the "clear" property and borrow against it, then reconvey that lien. Repeat until arrested or out of the country.

This is some seriously nasty business he is getting hismelf into, a massive plunge down into the cesspit, even for Casey I wasn't too bothered by Casey's "shady loans" because banks were pretty much colluding with borrowers to get fraudulent loans through. But this is 169% pure scammage of the lowest form.

Anonymous said...

@9:36

Thanks for the update. I can't see what the actually scam because my corporate firewall is blocking it. I'm not going to touch camp Idiot at work either; I like my job. :)

Have you seen the actual reconveyance? Was it filed by Casey himself? If someone local does't post it online I'm thinking about ordering it.

I think it's just more of the same from Casey, he has no morals. It's a grey area to him. If it's illegal, it's the banks responsibility to stop the reconveyance. Just like the mortgage fraud.

@Aelfscine

Nah. Casey's only a target for the most incompetent of the petty grifters. Any criminal with any sense would avoid him.

Monica said...

What exactly was that lien for? Why was it fraudulent? Was it really? And even if it was, whose fault is it? Was it for Casey's "corporation", which would explain why Casey would even get involved in issues that are his parents', not his own? And wait a minute: can Casey or his mother simply declare any fraud related to the corporation or Casey himself and solve the financial part of the issue without getting into further trouble? I realize that the criminal system is separate from the civil system, so that could perhaps happen.

Anonymous said...

A copy of the document is $12. Hey, Cali's got to pay the bills.

Anonymous said...

@Monica

We don't know what the lien is for. Since nothing on the county recorder website indicates non-mortgage lien was filed, best guess is that it is for the mortgage.

As to the relationship between Casey, his shell corporation and his mother, God only knows. She cosigned on the corporate debt, so I would guess a creditor could file a lien against the home. She could counter that Casey was acting frauduently through his corp, but she wouldn't do that to him. It would probably take legal action by her, against him, to get the creditors to go away.

@12:58
Yep, it's a rip. My county has all recorded docs online for free. I'm obsessed with the whole Serin saga though.

Every time I think that Casey has hit rock bottom, he manages to sink even further. Seriously, when is this POS going to be put behind bars?

Still, more entertainment for me - wonder how long this latest scam will last before spectacularly imploding.

Naw. When Casey was taking out loans, at least he had something vaguely resembling a "business" flipping houses for profit and paying the banks back (and no, haterfagz, Casey did not bury the cash-back money in his backyard). Not that Casey had any chance of pulling it off, but it was theoretically sound.

This on the other hand, makes no sense beyond just ripping banks off.

Monica said...

Don't worry. The banks won't let that happen. It won't work or else the banks will just close the loophole, even if that means no longer accepting the same kind of deal in the future. After all, if it worked that well, that would discourage the banks from placing themselves in the very same situation in the future.

I'm actually surprised he hasn't gotten it in his head that his reputation is so tarnished that even half wits wouldn't take his advice.

However, pass the popcorn and let's watch this latest insane scheme unfold.

I'm sure he's developed an ego related to the feds not caring about anything he does. I think most people would if they stole half a million in cash and were still walking free a few years later.

For the sake of law-abiding citizens though, I hope that one of these days, his criminal acts will catch up with him big time. And I don't mean losing his wife, or losing his parents' house to fraud. I'm talking 5 to 10 in lockup.

Seriously, everybody needs to go to the CI thread and see the Casey "lion" picture. I don't think i've ever seen anybody trolled so hard, or who deserved it so much!

Classic, classic troll and another worthy chapter in the ongoing Serin trainwreck - my hat goes off to whoever did the Holly con job.

The word is also that Casey is beginning the scam process on his own parents house - surely even he can't be that dumb though, can he? Will the law finally throw him in jail? Please?

Casey's MEM site is simply his participation in a MLM scheme. He must be expecting a cut of any action for sending customers to the Oregon guy. Also, I do not think his parents' reconveyance is part of his new biz -- it's just a BK process coincidence (as Serinitis commented on above).

What I particularly like about the "Holly" thing is that Casey will never be able to completely trust anyone he meets online ever again. Is it a genuine friend? Is it a troll? Stuff like this will contribute to his already dubious mental stability.

The frauds will haunt him for the rest of his natural life. I can see the doctor at Casey's deathbed in 2060 realizing who his patient is and pranking him. :-)

Nowhere Man said...

What surprises me is that it's taken so long to get the goodness out of the Holly troll - he/she turned up near the start of island2012, and that was ages ago. Only now do we get the hilarious pictures!

A masterclass though, without doubt. Casey could learn a thing or two about the long con from Holly, as he is is incapable of even performing a short term scam. He is mentally stunted though, so I suppose that's the excuse.

Anyway, good to know that as long as he lives he will be paying in some way for crimes - Casey, look forward to your lion picture being sent to any prospective/current employer!

Anonymous said...

Okay, I must've missed the whole 'Holly' thing people are referring to, can someone explain?

Anonymous said...

Okay, I must've missed the whole 'Holly' thing

At the start of the Island2012 nonsense last year, someone created the guise of "Holly Oakes" and friended Casey on his private "serin.us" social network experiment. Holly then expressed genuine interest in the Island plan and apparently led Casey to believe that she was interested in Casey personally. Pretending to be a female is a pretty surprising troll strategy to use on a flaming gay man like Casey, but whatever works. He probably merely wanted Holly to be the next Galina -- someone with a clean credit report he could take advantage of and steal from.

Anyway, over the course of a few months, "Holly" led Casey on further and further -- they exchanged risque Facebook messages and disturbing pictures. At least Casey did, I dunno how the Holly troll managed from "her" end.

Many of these pix and messages have been steadily revealed on the CampIdiot thread mentioned above. Classic troll, and as usual, Casey's actions end with the entire Internet pointing and laughing at him.

Anonymous said...

That's funny - thanks...

Anonymous said...

Wow - that campidiot thread about Casey is a goldmine. It included this from Casey posted to Holly, I assume (Moderator - don't know if appropriate to post. delete if not) - this is incredible:
"I just now saw your email because my solar panel I bought as an experiment isn't as robust as I thought so I am throttling my usage of the laptop to once or twice a day. The 12v powered mini fridge, my other experiment, actually requires way too much power and depleted one of the batteries. I can still run my engine from time to time but the gas is getting pretty low. I'm still figuring out the power situation.

. . .

I'm very much Into The Wild, just like Chris McCandless, and I am not very well prepared and didn't know what kind of crazy adventure this was going to be. And I'm kind of trapped since my van may be slightly damaged in trying to make it out here and also because its not 4x4 it may not make it back up the steep road.

Biggest thing is that the creek dried up. That means I have to ride my mountain bike 5 miles back up hill to the little town to buy water but I didn't save any cash for that, figuring I'l boil the creek water and try living off the land. I'm doing OK for now without food because I'm sort of fasting and doing some cleansing after months of eating whatever my heart desires. I have enough distilled water at the moment.

All I have are some lemons, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, sea salt, some special tea and herbs... and I cheated with a couple of bottles of wine that I picked up on the way here, they're long gone now. The good thing is today on my exploration ride I found many blackberry bushes with delicious ripe nuggets that I've been feasting on all day... they're wild and healthy!

. . .

But as I face and overcome my fears it gives me confidence and a closer connection to the forest and nature. I just scared away a bear who was prowling through the bushes earlier today by beating my machete against a shovel while standing from a commanding position on top of my van. Crazy stuff.

From a practical side this whole thing is pretty uncomfortable, like squatting for #2 in the forest and burying it with a shovel. Also we're not allowed to have camp fires out here so that limits the "coziness" quite a bit and food options (I wanted to try grilling squirrels, hehe). And with no creek I have been saving my water and have not bathed yet and just have been barely brushing my teeth and hands.

But maybe I'll still find another body of water out here or better spots to camp. I have been exploring the trails on my mountain bike on quite a bit. The roads are overgrown so think at places that it requires going on foot with a machete-in-hand. Pretty wild, that's fore sure. Still haven't found water but got a good feel for the area. My local contact out here should be coming out soon to show me around, we are hoping for a creek that still have not dried up. Unfortunately without any water, it will be hard to do much prospecting for gold since panning is a water-intensive process. We do have some other methods we're putting together, so we'll see. No production yet. Btw, a correction, i'm the sole investor on the gold projects out here.

. . .

The crazy things is that I have about $10 of liquid cash left. I guess in the spirit of anti-materialism, I ran myself down to where I have no liquid savings and not really any immediate jobs."

Anonymous said...

Why all this juvenile gay bashing? Casey is obviously not gay (not that there's anything wrong with that).

By all reports, Casey is open and expressive, warm and friendly, highly social. An easy mark, unfortunately for him....

Almost 4 months later, here I am still... everything happens for a reason, right?

What value is there in me to seek Mortgage Elimination Man's services? Can he get rid of the principal that I owe?

Because if there is an actual service like that--then why should I pay for my mortgage the old-fashioned way?

Of course I'm not going to pay $3000 for his services. And I'm not really "mortgaged to the hilt" as my namesake suggests, I'm being sarcastic.

Damion Lupo was last in Connecticut working on the Peter Schiff campaign until he got fired. Not really sure how anyone gets fired from a volunteer position but he accomplished it. He was last known to be going to Texas and then back to AZ. During Lupo's time in CT he was very shady attempting to scam on expense reports for the campaign and then attempting to scam more from the campaign by lying about fundraising. This guy created chaos for everyone around him. There is just something very disingenuous about him.
