Casey just "invested" $10K in a pay-phone scam!

You heard it here first.

In these these tough economic times, of course, pay phones are sure to regain all the ground they lost to cellphones in the past 15 years. They're going to the moon we tell you! That's why a budding excrapreneur like Casey would want to be involved.

Evidence at the following photo set:

If you are not a Casey Serin contact on flickr, please access this with the following URL, which includes a "guest pass" for the directory: http://flickr.com/gp/sercasey/N7oKn9&h=ac8b5ecc2bac1e6f07d2c5285ed269dc

Photo #3:

The rest of the set is photos of him at his "friends" Mike and Lisa's place.

Lisa has particularly nice "assets" (No, we're not talking about the poor dog who is forced to live with people who are known associates of Casey Serin. Her other assets.)

Strangely enough Mike and Lisa run this outfit:

http://www.executiveconsultantgroupllc.com/

Who describe their business (Executive Consultant Group LLC) as follows:

Our company was formed to address this country's financial crisis and provide an innovative solution to fulfill our clients ever changing needs. Our concept is simple;

We work with you, one on one, to achieve maximum funding and in turn offer you high yield low risk investment opportunities.

Did you know that there are low risk investments available that yield as much as 20% per month?

Did you know that you can obtain large amounts of unsecured funding at low rates?

Putting these two winning solutions together can create an incredible passive income opportunity.

Let us create a custom proven plan that allows you to earn a passive income of at LEAST $5,000-$10,000 per month (keep in mind.....this is a minimum).

[The emphasis is ours. We know our boi!]

Yeah, that was our first thought too: "They sound like scammers."

And by the look of their incomplete and somewhat faulty website, fairly recent ones too. At least in this current incarnation.

As usual, Casey is going along. He's probably a great mark.

So why does a careful analysis suggest that he invested $10K? Mostly because that's just a bit less than his GSPG stock was worth when he sold it a few days ago. After setting aside $999 to be scammed by Sarah Prout (A scam we will dissect later), he'd have about $10K. In exchange he gets to go wine tasting with them for the day and hang out by their pool for a BBQ. You'd think he'd at least have gotten the opportunity to fondle Lisa's tits, but as we know from the whole Angeltits debacle, he's just not all that interested.

There's no other way for this to add up.

[And OK, we admit it. The whole "payphone scam" idea is very definitely a slim possibility. But Casey loves "foreshadowing" his activity with carefully placed hints in his photostream, so it's definitely fun to think about. Regardless of the nature of the proposition that Lisa and Mike are pitching to him, we suspect that it's designed to enrich them at his expense, and not the kind of "win-win" he always claims to be looking for.]

And that's the view from FalseCasey HQ, where there is still smoke in the air and we are amazed that Casey has most likely found a worse place to put his borrowed money than GSPG.

Wow, good catch is it "pans out", to borrow something from one of Casey's other schemes.

F.C.,

the brilliant analysis by a friend of ours on a private site that cannot be named

Could you give those of us not in the "inner circle™" a hint here? I checked Swaby's site, Lou's site, and Rob's site and have no idea what you're talking about :-(

FC -- Nice work!

FC -- some additional details about this scam would be greatly appreciated.

My guess on the scam is a company is planning to setup wireless hotspots (heavily loaded with ads and spyware) at the pay phone locations. Since the company would have to pay for DSL at each of the phone locations the economics do not work out

915 Highland Pointe Dr. Ste 250, Roseville, CA 95678

Using BING maps, this "suite" address appears to be private mail box in a strip mall (surprise)!

Casey must have hooked up with Mike&Lisa via NR and Chris Record, imho. Their biz site profit claims are so outragous only an idiot like Casey would give them $$.

It must be some kind of buyin "leveraging" scam.

There have been a number of payphone-related ponzis and other scams over the years.

The essential idea is you buy a phone for some outrageous sum and share in the profits generated by its use.

Details vary. In some cases you have to convince merchants to let yo install the phones -- if you fail, it's your fault for doing a lousy sales job. In other cases you are just an investor and there are usually securities fraud issues going on. One fairly notorious one a few years back was basically a ponzi. You "bought" a number of phones for $5-7K and got "profits" from them. In reality, the money from the latest "phone buyers" was paying for the "profits" to earlier "phone buyers." There may or may not be any actual phones.

Similar scams are run with vending machines and more recently with ATMs. Typically the main issue is that the seller exaggerates both the income potential and the ease of getting them installed in good locations.

We have received some information about these interesting new "associates" of Casey's and will post more information when we are able to verify some of it.

Their names and contact information is on their website.

Incidentally, their address does not appear to be a pure mail drop, rather it's a "rent an office" type place. The kind of place that lets you set yourself up with them as the address, gives you use of a permanent phone number and receptionist and makes conference rooms and other facilities available on an "as needed" basis. Many legitimate businesses use these types of arrangments, including one we had some years back. However, they are also perfect for scammers.

A final note: The web domain for this group of associates was registered about a year ago, but changed at the beginning of August, suggesting that their website and business are fairly new.

That's all we can verify at this time.

Bipolar Disorder,

There is still a private site where a handful of old-time haterz hang out. We're led to believe that mostly it's not even Casey-related, but when there is a Casey flare-up some interesting information comes out of there.

We're not members and don't even know the current url. It used to be Caseyhaterz.com.

There has apparently been some discussion of all this, but we have not been forwarded anything that does not appear to be unsupported speculation.

I hope to God he loses every dime buying into this nonsense.

He can't use common sense. He wants an island, fine, work for it asshat but you can't focus. Casey spends more time thinking he's a "player" when he is obviously not even close to being one.
