MyParentsAreFacingForeclosure.com

It looks like the end is near for the Serin family's property-owning days. According to the Sacramento Court records, the Notice of Default on their property has been changed to a Notice of Trustee Sale. This typically means that sometime in the next month the guy in the funny hat outside the courthouse will auction off the Serin home, just as he did with one of Casey's properties way back when.

We're not sure what Casey will do then. There has been very little leaking out about this and his Facebook wall has been invisible for some time. There was some discussion in some circles about the fact that Casey's debt was at least 10% of his parents' obligation, and while there's no real corroborating evidence, that seems about right to us. How it might be impacted by a parental bankruptcy is unclear.

Prior to going blank on Facebook, Casey also alluded to possibly traveling and leaving the country for a while. He was discussing WWOOFing as one possibility of getting to the island of his dreams, and also mentioned something about some guy with big plans for an island resort in Fiji who was going to hire him into a great "opportunity." It's unclear if any of this came together.

What is clear is that the Serin parents will be renters for a long time to come, probably in a more modest home which won't have space for a moocher in his own bedroom. Casey's future looks like it'll involve sleeping on the sofa in some 2-bedroom condo where his parents and younger sister each get a room and he gets told that he can have his own space when he gets a job and pays for it.

For Casey this will be a major disaster. Sleeping on the sofa will mean rising at a normal hour with the rest of the family. It'll mean no late-nite blogging and Facebooking. It'll mean no getting high and acting stupid. And it's now winter, so sleeping in his vansion in the inaccessible snow-covered foothills will no longer be an option.

It sucks to be Casey's family in the best of times. While we have our quibbles with the way they've handled the boi, we do wish them well through their hard times. It sucks even more to be Casey though, but at this point we find it difficult to wish him anything but the roughest of times as he has clearly earned them.

Finally, we wonder how Casey missed the opportunity to start a blog about all this?

And that's the way things are at FalseCasey HQ, where we're late but had to stick around long enough to pass this news along.

First!

It is a corner house, right?

I miss hearing news about our little Snow Flake. I am a hopeless Casey junkie.

Nobody has any idea where he is or what he is doing? This seems so impossible, someone must know something.

The unmet obligation is $110,000 so Casey is responsible for about 50% of the outstanding amount.

Yeah, I'm spamming here, but I posted this in the old topic, 30 minutes before FC posted this new piece.

Comment encouraging the FBI to arrest Casey K. Serin is successfully left at the NY Times, passing their moderation, in an article about financial malfeasance in America.

Beat you to it, FC. 2 days ago I posted this would happen.

Just curious if anyone knows what the calculation behind that figure is.

Between the mortgage and any HELOCs (let's say $300K), they actually paid off $190K before defaulting?

If they actually had any significant equity built up before the default, all the more reason to laugh at them.

I can almost hear KC telling his parents about the advantages and intricacies of lender ignore mode.

Let's not omit the salient fact that underlies all this sort of thing: The Serins are just Russian Whiggers.

My parents' generation had a name for that sort of living above your means: "Nigger rich"

It's as true today as it was in the 1970s.

It's as true today as it was in the 1970s.

In the 1970's, Casey would have been sent to Federal Prison by now. Even without a blog confessing his crimes and 100's of people imploring law enforcement to arrest him, had he done this 35 years ago, he'd be cuddling with his 300-lb. cellmate as we speak.

I wonder if the true gravity of the Snowflake's debacle has finally sunk into Mama and Papa Serin's skulls.

I am sure when this fiasco first started, they probably took a wait and see attitude. Likely dismissing the behavior as being temporary.

Then the foreclosures occurred. The divorce happened. And suddenly, they begin to receive notices from creditors asking for the funds they idiotically co-signed for.

And now? Karma has reared its ugly head. From one perspective, one could call this unfortunate; perhaps even tragic. On the other hand, WTF DID YOU THINK WOULD HAPPEN YOU STUPID GYPSIES??!!

Unknown said...

Are you kidding, the Serin family probably blamed Galina for not sticking it out with her gay husband. The multiple foreclosures? The banks' fault for letting Casey sign the mortgage papers.

Their situation is everyone's fault but their own. These are people who refuse to acknowledge the possibility that their oldest son has been mentally ill now for years. The level of denial is amazing -- willingly co-signing for large credit lines for someone who has a history of being financially irresponsible (to put it mildly)? Unbelievable.

Not one of them said a single word of protest during Casey's manic/psychotic Island presentation to them. They acquiesced to his delusions, as usual.

It is about time karma caught up with these idiots. Now, when it catches up to Casey specifically, and he's given a 10-year sentence -- that's when we can all die happy.

Where is the information about the unmet obligation coming from? We've seen other docs suggesting that the last refinance was at something around $390K in 2005, and that's probably only the first loan. Can't seem to find the details right now.

There was a SAMPLE sale notice posted on one of the Casey forums with the $110K number, but it's not the one for the Serin household. We have not located a published notice anywhere yet.

In any case, the outstanding obligation won't necessarily tell us much. There are probably at least two lenders on the property. Usually it's the first mortgage holder who does the foreclosing because the second and third tend to get zero, but it can vary depending on the amounts. Sometimes it ends up being a game of chicken between lenders as to who will foreclose first.

More as we know it.

They can't be too worried. According to Margarita's Facebook page, they all went to Tahoe for Christmas.

Casey Whisperer, if what you emailed mee back is true, then this is BIG news. I think you should post it online.

I thought this guy was trolling, but not exactly... here's a pic of the relevant section of her Facebook page:

The whole family didn't go to Tahoe, just her and her husband. Also note the update below that: she's pregnant and due in 2.5 months. So some unlucky kid will have "Uncle Casey" to deal with some day.

Here's a gamma-corrected pic of "Rita" and David at Tahoe, showing she is clearly pregnant.

Christ... last post. The guy who said the whole family went to Tahoe was actually right, I just didn't scroll down enough. oops :-p

Margarita posted on 12/29/2009 "enjoying my last day with the fam in Tahoe! Going to hit the snow one last time!"

Then the family left while she and hubby stuck around for a few more days. I found one pic of the balding fraudster from that trip, hope direct links to facebook pix work. :)

Love how everyone is in jeans and a t-shirt, except fraud boy. King Casey is so important that he has to wear a jacket with a collard shirt and sweater vest (maybe he didn't have time to change after closing sweet business deals all day)

Casey's hair is thinning quicker by the day!

BTW the shirt and jacket are entirely befitting for someone with the lofty social status of a parking valet.

Yeah, I'm not a guy. I almost hurled when I saw that picture on Margarita's page, though.

The one I feel bad for is the kid sister. High school is hard enough without having to go through losing your home in the middle of it all.

It's bad enough the parents screwed themselves and their retirement by supporting Casey in his schemes, but screwing up their youngest kid's life in the process is a sin.

Yeah, Casey Konstantin Serin is easily the most unbiased source for news about the Serin family. ;-p

"under control" = 30 more days of squatting semi-legally until the bank sells our house.

Richard Longcock said...

Casey Konstantin Serin (the serial grifter) should be locked up.

Absent that, I would laugh my a.s off should his entire klan be thrown on the street. The Serin DNA is obviously toxic and should NOT be used to procreate. It could lead to the end of civilization as we know it.

We recall from something long ago in the IAFF days that one of the relatives, maybe one of the vaguely-described "uncles" who also gave Casey loans, had a place somewhere up near Tahoe. That might explain it, or it could be that they just decided to stop the payments on the house, rent a smaller one and use the differential to have some fun.

We'd believe either.

Implying the parents allow their retard son a role in managing their personal finances. Either:
a) murseboi is lying about that; or
b) the Serins are dummer than anyone gave them credit for

That's the kid I feel most sorry for too, she's done nothing wrong but has to deal with the shame and lack of resources. I honestly don't feel Tim or Steve did much wrong either, Steve paid rent to the family and Tim has served in the military and is now in college. Margarita seems fine as well, the hardest part is trying to understand WHY they've given Casey so much support.

I had a bf many years ago who was first gen/oldest son and the guy was a spoiled brat. His younger sibs were much more normal but in their culture the oldest son was worshipped. Different culture but maybe similar.

Thanks for the pics anon & CS-HCA.

Some will disagree with me about Steve/Tim/Rita but what you're willing to say in public about your sibling can be very different from what you say to them in private.

Ditto for being in a family situation where you're all trying to be nice so you don't upset the 'rents.

I emailed this "Casey Whisperer" yesterday and I received a cryptic response about having to 'communicate'.

He mentioned something about the inner circle.

Anybody here know what the inner circle is?

Hmm, well, now his FB account is back. I suspect he deleted it and then logged-in later. I believe FB allows 14 days of idle activity before formally deleting an account. If you login before the 14 days has expired the account deletion is canceled.

I just did my own record search on the Sacramento Recorder and found the summary listing of Notice of TS for Serin, Aleksey and Anna. I was doubting but it's true. Search in 2010 for the TS, 2009 for the ND. It's all rather sad -- Anna probably had her hours cut.

Feb 1st, 2010 is the trustee sale date of Casey's family's house located at 4932 Dewey Dr, 95628. Sale takes place on the famous Sacramento Court House steps with the guy using the trashcan as a desktop. (Info is from a limited RE foreclosure listing). Anyone have more gritty details?
